Catch-all

I saw a tutorial quite a while back for this catch-all and just couldn’t get it out of my mind.  I made a few for Christmas presents this year.  They are easy, fun and look great!  Plus it is perfect to have a designated spot for keys!

Pot Holders

I made some pot holders a few years ago for Christmas presents.  I was looking thru all of my left over scraps of fabric and decided to make some more.  I always amazed how simple this project is although it takes longer than anticipated.

Pillows

I have been able to get some chunks of time to sew recently!  I have rally enjoyed it.  My husband had wanted some suiting fabric for a random project and after seeing it sit around for awhile, I decided that it was mine!  If you have ever seen my apartment, we are very gray friendly!  I just can’t think of a better color sometimes, although I knows others disagree.  I made a few pillow covers, but still need to go and buy the actual pillows.

Flower Pin

I have went through a period of making all kinds of felt and ribbon flowers.  There are a ton of different possibilities with shapes and colors!  I like how they add a punch of color to whatever you put them on!

Slipcover for our camera strap

I finally got around to making a slipcover for our camera strap.  It is always rewarding to beautify something with just a bit of time.  This was truly one of the easiest things I’ve ever sewn.  It does tend to slide around just a little, so next time I might make it slightly tighter.

Elephant Love

This was the latest onesie that I made for my preggo cousin.  I used a iron-on patch and cut it into the elephant shape and then hand stitched all around it.  I always love the finished product, but wish that they didn’t take so long to hand stitch!  Hope she likes it!

Chair Re-do

My husband came home with this chair after visiting a used office furniture store near our home. I was surprised that he came home with anything at all!  I know that we took pictures of the chair before we recovered it, but I’m unable to find them.  The chair cushions were covered in a brown vinyl.  I’ve had this fabric from Ikea for quite some time now and was saving it for who know what!  I really like the out come!  My husband and I did this project together and had fun.  Makes us want to go out and buy a bunch of furniture to recover.  Good thing we don’t have any more room!

Jonah’s Scarf

I knitted this scarf for my 1yr old.  I didn’t have a pattern, just started knitting.  I decided to make a hole to pull thru the other end to “cinch”  it up.  If I had to do it over I would of made the end with the hole longer, but maybe next time.  It has worked out well, and my little one has some touble getting it off, so it does its’ job well!

Ornament

I didn’t make any ornaments this year, but when I was at home at my Mom’s house I realized how many I have made over the years.  I kinda wish I would of gotten around to making one this year, but there’s always the next.  I have made a lot of ornaments out of sequin, but this one was definitely  different from the rest.  Using larger sequin took a lot less time!  Who knows what I’ll make next year!

T-shirt Scarf

This scarf was made out of an old t-shirt!  I cut it into 4 by 4 squares and lined them up on the diagonal.  Next I did a zig-zag stitch down the middle, making sure the catch the points of every square.  The squares drape nicely.  I want to make a few more of these in the future.  It is a great way to reuse an old t-shirt!
